Dr. Ashlee Albright grew up in Burnaby, but spent many weekends as a child visiting her grandparents in Central Saanich and Brentwood Bay. After graduating from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in 2011, she first practiced small animal medicine and surgery in Northern BC before returning to Metro Vancouver.
Dr. Albright’s special interests include soft tissue surgery, nutrition, and palliative care. A passion for client education and writing motivates her to write a blog for pet owners about current topics in veterinary health. She is delighted to join the Elk Lake Veterinary Hospital team and to put down roots closer to her Vancouver Island extended family.
When off duty, she spends most of her time with her husband, Doug, chasing after their two spirited young children, Robin and Gavin. Dr. Albright also has two senior pets: a soul-kitty named Herman, and a very mischievous Boxer named Ralphie. In her small slivers of spare time, she enjoys playing competitive soccer, running half marathons, skiing, gardening, and writing.
