Growing up on a small hobby farm on Gabriola Island, Hayden had a passion for animals from as early as he could remember, and an interest in veterinary medicine for almost as long. Off the farm, Hayden had a particular connection with exotics, living with Rudy the rescued parrot and Smaug the bearded Dragon. While completing his Biology degree at UBC, these interests led him to work as an assistant at an avian-only veterinary hospital in Vancouver. After graduating in 2017, Hayden moved to Toronto, where he began work at another exotic clinic, this time also treating dogs, cats, and rabbits. Now happily back in Victoria, and with a new appreciation for our beautiful West Coast, Hayden fills his free time wandering the outdoors and playing bass.
