Jessy grew up right here in Victoria, and even as a young girl knew that her career would involve animals in some way. Sure enough, Jessy has spent most of her adult life working in veterinary medicine – with the exception of a few years she reserved to take time to raise her two sons! In the most recent evolution of her career, Jessy graduated in 2017 from the distance program at Thompson Rivers University as a Registered Veterinary Technician.
Jessy loves working in the fast-paced ELVH environment, and appreciates the knowledge and mentorship of her fellow technicians. This is a field with an incredible amount to learn and skills to develop, and she is dedicated to constantly developing her expertise. While enjoying the busy hospital environment, Jessy also loves being able to give clients and patients the time to feel cared for and supported.
Jessy shares her life with her two sons (now both teenagers), an incredible husband, one barky beagle, and an awesome fluffy kitty. She and her beagle (Hugo) are avid fans of dog sports, including nosework, trick training, and rally. While Hugo knows many cool tricks, a definite crowd-pleaser is his ability to help sort the laundry! Jessy also loves reading, gardening, camping, and spending time with her huge extended family.
