Megan was originally born in Edmonton, Alberta, but soon made the move to Victoria to be close to all of her family. She was originally accepted into the Legal Office Assistant program at Camosun College but found that it wasn’t her true passion. The Office Administration program at Camosun was a much better fit, and Megan completed her training through this stream. She always knew she wanted to work for a passionate organization that focused on helping animals, and the opportunity to join the team at ELVH has made this dream a reality. 

What Megan likes most about her Reception role is the chance to meet every animal that walks through the door – especially the kitties! She also appreciates the opportunity to deepen her companion animal knowledge while working alongside a very talented team. At the same time, she is very grateful to be able to help clients and patients in any way she can.

Megan has two rescue cats who usually take up most of her free time. Her first rescue (Buster) was the star of the show for a long time, but ultimately she and her family decided he should have a friend. They rescued a tabby cat named Peter, and the two have been inseparable ever since. When Megan is not cuddling with her kitties, you can usually find her involved in any activity that is beauty related. She also enjoys a quiet night in, relaxing and recharging her social battery.
